Blue Bell Creameries has officially put its first shipment of ice cream on trucks for delivery four months after the company halted production due to a listeria contamination.
The Brenham, Texas-based company started up its Alabama plant for the first time last week after local health officials signed off that the plant met the needed standards.
The announcement went out on Twitter and Facebook and showed Blue Bell Trucks pulling out of their factory, finally full of ice cream for delivery.
There’s still no word on exactly where those half-gallons are headed, but Blue Bell promises to let consumers know soon.
